JAPANESE JUJUTSU – DOJO PRAGUE

A SCHOOL CARRYING ON THE LEGACY OF GRAND MASTER VLADIMÍR “KAZIK” LORENZ

JAPANESE JUJUTSU WHERE TRADITION MEETS MODERN CONCEPTS

We return to the roots and remain true to the path of jū.
We focus on the principles of biomechanics and off-balancing.
We choose the long road over shortcuts, discipline over comfort.

"Do everything your opponent wants you to do. Only at the end, add something of your own.
Be like water, flow around your opponent until the surface closes.
If you are big, become even bigger. If you are small, become even smaller."
Grand Master Vladimir 'Kazik' Lorenz

OUR JUJUTSU STYLE CONCEPT – GENTLENESS OVER STRENGTH

Modern martial arts worldwide are largely focused on winning, with the primary emphasis on technical skill (jutsu), driven by sport and commercial priorities.

We believe it is essential to further cultivate ju – gentleness — and dō — the Way, because the journey itself is both the goal and the true outcome of our training. This philosophy allows us to benefit and support a broader range of people who do not want to, or cannot, participate in competitive combat sports, yet still seek effective self-defense.

So what defines the concept of our traditional Jujutsu (Jiu-Jitsu) style?
There is no need to meet force with force, as there will always be someone stronger. True martial art lies in adapting to your opponent’s power and redirecting it to your own advantage. Through this principle, even a weaker or injured practitioner can succeed. The refined, gentle execution of techniques also enables women to stand as equals in combat.

What matters most is not being better than others, but being better than you were yesterday.
